Job Description
Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider with annual revenues of over €500m. They count among their clients some of the world's leading names in the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and Technology sectors where we provide the highest levels of expertise and performance across four key business areas of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and technologies engineering.
Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland and with offices in Central and Eastern Europe they are currently recruiting for the position of Electrical Estimator to be based in their Dublin office.
The role will involve the following principal duties and responsibilities:
As part of an established team of Mechanical & Electrical professionals the successful candidate will be involved in the production of competitive tenders / detailed estimates for pre-design or D&B projects
Advising managers of bid prospects
Attending pre & post tender interviews
Complying specialist sub-contract quotes
Ensuring sub-contractor quotes comply with specification
Completing take-offs from tender drawings
Report regularly to management on competitor activity, market trends and any other market dynamics that may be useful to management
Essential Requirements when applying for the role:
A Third Level Qualification in Quantity Surveying and/or Electrical Engineering
A minimum 5-7 years' experience in a similar role
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly numerate
Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations
Computer literacy in relevant estimating packages
